Business, Motivational and Inspirational Books - Ghostwriting

You have years of experience in your industry and want to pass on what you've learned by writing an inspirational business guide. Or you've always wanted to write your family-owned business's history. Or you're thinking of writing your memoirs or a biography of your company's founder. Whatever the case may be, there just aren't enough hours in the day, you just can't find the time, and deep down you know you never will.

Working with a ghostwriter is the perfect solution. Your book will be written, edited, prepared for printing and published by us. We will then have it printed and, if you wish, distributed. Your guide, memoir, history—you name it, we'll write it—will carry your name alone.

Nezu Press books

In addition to offering business publishing services, we publish fiction under our Nezu Press imprint.

Nezu Press was founded in 2008. We originally focused on academic works about Japanese art and history. We now specialise in publishing attractive hardback editions with informative introductions, focusing primarily on forgotten female authors who were active during the Victorian era and up to 1950.

  • Who are your services aimed at?
Our services are intended for business professionals. Some examples of projects we work on: professional memoirs, company histories, motivational books, product guides, instruction manuals, etc.
  • Do you publish fiction or poetry?
No. Countisbury Publishing publishes non-fiction that is connected to some aspect of the business world.
  • I’m a successful chef, would you be willing to publish my cookery book?
No, but we may well be willing to publish your memoir.
  • Do you publish any business manuscript sent to you?
No. It is in our best interest and that of our clients to make sure that only writing of good quality is published. If a manuscript is poorly written or factually questionable, we will not publish it. Also, we reserve the right to refuse publication to writers wishing to promote an idea/company that is morally questionable.
  • If my book is published by you, who is responsible for its interior layout?
We’ll discuss options with you, so you’ll have input, but we will then carry out all work on the interior of the book.
  • If my book is published by you, who designs my book’s cover?
That depends on you. How involved do you want to be? If you have images you’d like to use, we’ll work with them. Or, if you would prefer us to do the work, we can do that.
  • If I hire you to write/edit a book for me, do I have to have it published via Countisbury Publishing?
No. You may take your finished manuscript to another publisher or publish it yourself if you would prefer to do that.
  • Which file formats do you accept?
We work with Apple Pages, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word.
  • Which formats do you publish in?
We publish in hardback, paperback, audiobook, and eBook formats.
  • If I hire you to write/edit/publish my book, who owns the copyright?
You own the end product and its copyright. It is your book, and you can do whatever you like with it.
  • If my book is published by you, do I get to keep all the profit from book sales?
Yes. We make no money from the sale of your books. There are costs involved in printing/distributing books, and these must be paid before profit is calculated, but that profit is all yours.
  • Once I'm published, can you help me with marketing?
Yes, we can provide guidance to help you market your book. In fact, we provide this from the moment you sign up with us (it's never too early to begin building your brand!). We can also provide marketing materials and content which can be used on your author website, social media platforms, etc.
  • If my book is published by you, how will I be paid?
UK clients are paid by direct bank transfer or Paypal, depending on personal choice. All other clients are paid via Paypal. Frequency of payment is determined by the individual project.
  • Can you guarantee that my book will be in every online retail site in the world?
No. Each retailer has its own criteria for determining which books are suitable for listing. For example, stores specialising in romance fiction aren’t going to sell your business memoir.
  • Can you guarantee that my book will get into bricks-and-mortar bookstores?
No. Bookshops have a finite amount of space, and competition to get a place on one of their limited number of shelves is high. Also, there are a number of things that determine whether a bookshop will stock a particular book or not (is the book returnable, for example). Bookshops will be able to order your book in for a customer, though.
  • Can you guarantee that my book will be a bestseller?
No. Publishing’s a funny old business, and even the biggest, most experienced publishing houses in the world can’t guarantee that. We can guarantee that we’ll do everything in our power to give your book its best chance.
  • Will you provide ghostwriting services to anyone?
No. All clients signing up for our ghostwriting service must be willing to put in the time and work required to make the project a success. If any client is unwilling to do this, we cannot work with them. In addition to this, we do not work with clients who wish to promote an idea/method/company that is morally questionable.
